When a Flex class is recorded, depending on what activities you do in class, different types of videos will be created including:

Audio only
Gallery view
Shared screen - when switching to a different source (e.g. from computer to doc cam), please remember to push the 'Share Content or Camera' button on the Crestron panel
Shared screen with Speaker view
Shared screen with Gallery view
Speaker view

Classroom recordings are initially stored on Zoom. Recordings are then automatically transferred to Kaltura mymedia for automatic captioning and long-term storage. Videos stored on mymedia can also be easily embedded in Canvas pages. These recordings should only be shared within the same course. Since students are recognizable, due to FERPA, the videos cannot be reused for different courses.

When mymedia recordings are embedded in a course, only the students in that course will be able to view them. Often the 'Shared screen with Speaker' view is helpful for students, but the usability of each video depends on individual courses and activities. Playlists can also be created to combine multiple classes into a single list. When videos are played from mymedia, students have the option to choose which view they find most beneficial!

The gallery view with the an active speaker will show students their peers, while keeping the presenter pinned on top.
The active speaker can also be swapped with the gallery view.
The presentation can be viewed full-size.
The active speaker and the presentation can also be viewed side-by-side.
